Using wordle.com to create a word cloud

Wordle.com offers a quick and easy method for generating word clouds that can be used to express an individual's personality, the topic of a subject matter (academic or non-academic), or anything else.

For my word cloud, I included a list of personality traits and personal interests, ideologies, philosophies, and beliefs. Some words were typed repeatedly to increase its size in the cloud.

Once the cloud was generated, the options were accessed to edit the visuals (font size, font color, background color, text direction, etc.) to achieve the desired final image.

Word clouds are an aesthetically appealing and rather effective method at offering mini-sound bites/summaries for any subject. A word cloud for a school subject (say, English) could contain a list of words commonly associated with it (e.g. grammar, writing, rhetoric, proofreading, diction, syntax, style, tone, irony, literature).
